Electronics

To put it simply, Japan has amazing electronics.

I just bought a USB drive that wirelessly detects TV. Thus I am watching Japanese TV in the corner of my screen as I’m writing this. It’s nuts.

The phones are ridiculous. I have the most basic phone in Japan and it’s NUTS compared to my phone in America.

Oh yea and then there is Akihabara. Essentially the electronic heart of Japan, Akihabara is hacker heaven. Imagine Best Buy…only it’s a city. That’s where I got my phone, my usb TV, some speakers, and a mouse pad. I saw a pair of 2,000 dollar headphones there. WTF!? lol.

Being Foreign, Language, Etc.

So I’ve been here for almost a week now and I’ve felt a lot of different things. Here are some of the notables:

Japanese people love walking. Not walking anywhere specific. Just walking. It’s no wonder these girls are so thin!

The food here is amazing. What I ate last night with my friends in Shinjuku probably would have been 30 bucks in Seattle, but it was 8 in Tokyo :) Furthermore, everything is better because it’s real, which means it’s healthier! No wonder these girls are so thin!

Japanese is hard. Everytime I feel like I’ve got a good grasp of the language someone spits something at me I’ve never heard before. No wonder these girls are so thin!

Food

“Dude. The food here is absolutely ridiculous!!!

I had that last night with some friends, it was probably the best thing I’ve had in my entire LIFE. Everything here is 10x better than in America, even if it is American food. LOL @ that. In other news, I did a gainerflash in Kabukichou last night. HAHA Tricks in Trick city!”

heeeeee~

Hello everyone. Japan is fantastic. I’m chillin like a villian here. I met up with a couple of friends yesterday and went to the bars. it was awesome. Everyone got beer and I got a mango-orange explosion. LOL.

talk about dangerous. Speaking of dangerous, what’s with all the girls here. DANGER BAY!!! way too cute.

The Real Deal

“Hey everyone. Finally, I have a minute to sit down and relax. You know what that means! EMO BLOG!!!! rofljk. butseriously. I’m in Japan.

Studying in Japan is something I’ve been wanting to do for a decade now. Until tonight, I still couldn’t believe that I was here. I arrived yesterday at about 5:30 PM Japanese time. Hustle and bustle took me from the airport, my friends house, and eventually to my dorm. Luckily that hustle and bustle is a close friend of mine named Mari Tanaka, who is also a student at Keio. She’s helped me out a lot since I got here. Anyway.

Being is is a bit unreal. Yea, it’s pretty much exactly what it looks like in the travel channel. Busy, big, and BALLIN’. the “”Damn…I’m actually here”" feeling set in earlier today while Iw as eating dinner with a great friend of mine who is also a breakdancer from UW. No it’s not Ben. We got some ramen at this amazing little store. While I was sitting there, watching the cooks, listening to the music, sitting next to my friends, it finally hit me: “”This is real. This is what I’ve been waiting to do for 10 years. This is actually happening! I’m in Japan!”" Talk about neato.

Anyhow, I’m still adjusting to jet lag, which is a bihatch. But you guys get to see my “”SICK”" dorm tomorrow, which is nice! See you then! PEACE”
