why you always gotta go about finding new ways of tearing up our eyes? You are getting very professional about it
Seriously, it was your site and your tutorials that made tricking seem like an actual possibility to the average skinny high school kid. Without you my friends and I would never have been able to realize that our potential reaches out far beyond what we comprehend it to be.
I’ve always wanted to thank you for your inspiration since I found your site almost 2 years ago, but you keep giving more so someday when I find words with enough meaning I will

Amen brother. I wake up some days and feel the exact same way. How the hell could I ever inspire someone? I just have to remember that there will always be someone who looks up to me and friends who look forward to my encouragement and motivation.

You and Juji are teachers. It’s not all about doing (though a modicum of that’s needed to understand, to draw people in, to discover new concepts) but also about putting yourself out there, drawing people in, making connections.

Basically it was your tutorials which are my first memory of what solidified the name, otherwise might have just lost it in the stream of names because I suck at remembering them normally.

Wow, first I just sat there with an idiotic grin on my face, then got blown out of my seat. ^_^ You are the best Tricker out there, not because you can trick the best, but because you inspire people. It wasn’t because I saw videos of Anis Cheufra, team loop kicks, Team Ryoko, or the Urban Ninja video that I started tricking. I started Tricking- and consequently getting into good shape and general health- because of YOU and this website, and your story, and the way you tell it. If not for finding and reading your blog, and learning from this website, I’d probably still be sitting around dreaming about doing things, rather then going out and doing them. The first time I found dogentricks.com I spent the whole day watching the video tutorials, checking up on fitness info, reading your blog, and daydreaming. At that time a feeling started inside me, one which I could no better describe than to be “larger then life”, it was the same feeling you described so excellently in this blog post. As time passed it only picked up speed, leading me to do things, to act rather then only think and dream. As the saying goes, “a butterfly flaps its wings, and on the other side of the world a mountain collapses”, in this case, you wrote, and the course of my life changed. Thank You.

I dont know if you got my message before, so ill write it again.

Dogen, ive read everything and watched everything on here and ive noticed that you said that you are just a typical trickster and athlete. But if you think it or not you are pry the most beloved tricker out there. I think you might be too hard on yourself because you are sprouting new trickers and teaching them you can be whatever you want to be and achieve anything you want to. I mean… without you i would just be another scronny kid that never gets noticed. but now that i trick and teach my friends ive become known and i now know that i can be whatever i want to be and i will continue to teach others like you have tought me. you are the BEST whether you know it or not. I hope to trick with you in this life or the next! i hope i have not been annoying
